ervice Desk Summary

The purpose of this Service Desk is to provide technical expertise to Nokia customers in terms of integration, deployment, design, and operations of enterprise product “Compact Mobility Unit”. The team should be experienced in deployment, integration, and testing of packet core elements like EPC, 5GC as an appliance (BareMetal) and cloud environment such as OpenShift/Kubernetes. Team should be able to assimilate the new concepts quickly and able to work in situation where they are learning as they work. This is hands-on, technical role including troubleshooting, issue resolution and deployment. Good communication skills with internal & external vendor support group are required.  

Service Desk Requirement

1. Understand customer requirement and should be able to deliver high level design, low level design, preparing test plan, integration, deployment, configuration of EPC & 5GC packet core components for cloud-based environment and appliance deliveries.
2. Working with customer technical staff to integrate the system in customer network and support customer testing.
3. Experience in enterprise solution will be an added advantage.
4. Rich experience in packet core entities (like MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF etc)
5. Having 5GC NFs (AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF etc) deployment experience is an added advantage.
6. knowledge & understanding on Kubernetes stack. Hands-on will be preferred.
7. Good understanding of 3GPP specification 23.501, 23.502, 23.401.
8. Excellent debugging skills in identifying and resolving the issues during the deployment.
9. Experience in http2, TLS, TCP, IPSEC, IP, DNS, DIAMETER protocols.
10. Hands on experience in deployment of EPC & 5GC network functions on OpenStack and containerized cloud environments.
11. Should have deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows, and overall knowledge of the latest technologies in the Telecom space including EPC, 5GC, VoLTE, IoT etc.
12. Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routes, eBGP, OSPF and IP subnetting, switching stack.
13. Understanding in IMS/VoLTE, RAN, HSS and UDM is an added advantage.
14. Good understanding of tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, putty, FileZilla, MobaXterm, etc.
