- Monitoring & Health Checks:
 
 
Task Description Frequency Daily
- Device Reachability Check Verify all SD-WAN devices (controllers, edges, routers) are reachable via ping/SSH/SNMP
 - Interface Errors Check interfaces for errors, drops, CRC issues
 - Alarms & Events Review Check for any critical/major alarms on monitoring tools
 - CPU/Memory Utilization Verify resource usage on all controllers and routers
 
 
 
2. Basic Troubleshooting & Escalation
Task Description Frequency: As needed
- Link Down / Interface Down Validate cable, SFP, and physical connectivity; escalate if persists As Needed
 - Device Unreachable Ping test ? Traceroute ? Check management IP and reachability
 - Config Sync Issue & escalate to L2 if template mismatch
 - High CPU/Memory Alert Identify offending processes; escalate to L2
 
 
3. Operational Tasks
Task Description Frequency: Weekly
 
- Backup Verification Ensure SD-WAN controller configuration backups are successful
 - Inventory Check Verify device count, serial numbers, and licensing
 - Syslog/Logs Review Ensure logs are being forwarded correctly
 - Access Verification Confirm SSH & GUI access for monitoring
 - Disk Usage Check Ensure adequate storage for logs and configurations
 
 
4. Reporting
Task Description Frequency: Daily
- Daily Health Report Summary of device status, alarms, link health
 - Incident Report Document incidents handled and escalation details As Occurred
 - Change Activity Summary Track any configuration or firmware changes Weekly
 - Performance Summary Include latency, loss, bandwidth utilization Weekly/Monthly
 
 
 
5. Preventive & Housekeeping
Task Description Frequency: Monthly
 
- Firmware Check Ensure devices are on approved software version
 - Unused Interface Cleanup Disable unused interfaces for security
 - System Time/NTP Sync Ensure NTP is configured properly
 - Redundancy Check Verify HA for controllers and links
