Job Description: Technical Project Manager – Infrastructure
Position Overview
The Technical Project Manager will lead office infrastructure projects with a strong focus on Audio‑Video systems, Network (Active & Passive components), Wireless, IT Security, CCTV, and Access Control Systems etc. The role requires coordinating multiple vendors, Contractors, Interior/Architects, Facility owners, UPL IT teams providing cost‑effective technical solutions, engaging with senior management, and ensuring timely on‑site execution with strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
-
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure projects.

Create project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved.
-
Monitor daily on‑site progress and ensure work meets UPL standards.
-
Governance Meeting – Daily, Weekly or On-demand based on project schedules.
2. Audio‑Video (AV) Solution Design & Coordination
-
Manage AV design and implementation for:
-
Board Room, Townhall & Training facility
-
VIP/Standard Cabin
-
Meeting rooms
-
Cafeteria/Reception Lounge
-
Workstation Areas
-
Obtain final sign‑off from UPL for all AV designs, schematics, Execution plans etc.
3. Technical Expertise
-
Review technical designs for Network Design - Active & Passive (structured cable/Raceways) devices & layout plan , WAN technologies, Wireless setups, Security etc.
-
Access Control systems, CCTV Camera systems
-
Green field/ Brown field project execution experience
-
Work with UPL IT infra teams to gather configuration requirements.
-
End User workstation setups - Printers, Laptops/Desktops etc.
-
Ensure vendors configure devices as per UPL configuration standards & guidelines.
4. Vendor Coordination
-
Single-Point-of-Contact (SPOC) for IT system project delivery & integration services
-
Coordinate with multiple system vendors, Internet/Telecom partners and ensure clear deliverables within defined timelines.

Coordinate with Civil, Contractor/Architects, ELV, BMS systems, Facility Management teams.
-
Evaluate proposals, plans, drawings, schematics & templates
-
Track vendor/partners progress against project milestones.
5. Stakeholder Management
-
Present solutions and status updates to UPL senior management.
-
Coordinate with UPL stakeholders – UPL IT teams, cross-functional teams & Sr. Leadership teams.
-
Communicate risks, dependencies, and required approvals.
-
Prepare Daily/weekly progress reports
6. On‑Site Presence (6 Days per week x 6-9 Months)

Daily site supervision to verify progress and resolve issues.
-
Ensure compliance with safety and execution standards.
-
Local Transport to be managed by own

The performance of the Technical Project Manager will be evaluated based on the following measurable KPIs:
Project Delivery

90–100% of project milestones achieved on time.

Less than 10% deviation from planned timelines.

On‑site presence compliance: 100% (except approved leaves).
Quality & Compliance

Zero major non‑compliances to UPL standards during implementation.

100% adherence to UPL IT configuration standards & best practices.

Successful sign‑off on IT Infrastructure, Network, End user systems, CCTV and Access control designs etc.
Vendor Performance Management

95% vendor tasks completed as per schedule.

Zero escalations due to poor vendor coordination.
-
Timely closure of vendor issues within agreed timelines.
Stakeholder Satisfaction

Positive feedback from UPL - Sr management, IT stakeholders.

Clear and consistent communication (Daily/weekly reports shared on time).

Effective presentation of solutions and technical clarity.
Issue Resolution

Average issue‑resolution time improved based on Daily or Weekly tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Electronics, or related field with PMP & ITIL Certified.
-
More than 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, Networking, Audio Video technologies, ELV system, BMS systems etc. project management.
-
Strong expertise in Audio Video systems, network active/passive, CCTV, End User and access control
-
Experience handling green field/ brown field project executions
-
Strong leadership, communication, and site‑supervision skills.

On‑Site Presence (6 Days per week)
-
Duration: 6-9 Months and extension will be done post completion of 3 months and on need basis.
