Job Title: Lab Maintenance Engineer
Experience: 3 – 6 Years
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, or related field
Location: Navi Mumbai, Vashi
Role Overview
The Lab Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the lab infrastructure. The role includes managing hardware, maintaining network connectivity, keeping proper documentation, and ensuring the lab environment is ready for testing and training activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lab Maintenance
Ensure the lab environment is clean, organized, and operational.
Check that all lab equipment is properly powered and connected.
2. Hardware Support
Perform routine maintenance and health checks of lab equipment.
Identify hardware issues and coordinate repair or replacement.
3. Network Configuration
Configure and manage network devices such as switches, routers, VLANs, and IP addresses.
Support network setup changes for new or existing lab configurations.
4. Inventory Management
Maintain records of lab equipment, spare parts, and testing tools.
Track asset movement and usage within the lab.
5. Access Management
Manage physical and remote access to the lab.
Ensure only authorized personnel can access the lab environment.
6. Documentation
Maintain updated documentation including network diagrams, IP planning, and lab design documents.
Required Skills
Knowledge of IP Networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing)
Experience with switches and routers configuration
Basic knowledge of Linux server administration
Understanding of server hardware, OS installation, and BIOS configuration
Ability to maintain network documentation and topology diagrams
Preferred Skills
Experience in telecom lab operations or infrastructure support
CCNA / CCNP Certification
RedHat Linux Certification
Basic scripting knowledge (Python / Bash) is an advantage
