Position Details: Embedded Linux/OpenWrt Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux / OpenWrt Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of next-generation networking operating systems for routers, switches, wireless access points, and telecom products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Embedded Linux, OpenWrt, networking protocols, and firmware development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Linux/OpenWrt-based networking operating systems.
• Integrate and customize chipset SDKs from vendors such as Realtek, MediaTek, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Marvell.
• Develop and enhance networking features, protocols, and management functions.
• Customize Web GUI, CLI, SNMP, NETCONF, REST APIs, and cloud management platforms.
• Perform Linux kernel, bootloader, BSP, and firmware customization.
• Debug and resolve hardware-software integration issues.
• Support product validation, performance optimization, and security hardening activities.
• Collaborate with hardware teams, ODM/OEM partners, and product management teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 3–8 years of experience in Embedded Linux development.
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenWrt and Linux-based embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Shell Scripting, and Linux development tools.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols including VLAN, STP/RSTP, LACP, QoS, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and VPN.
• Experience with BSP customization and SDK integration.
• Familiarity with Buildroot, Yocto, U-Boot, Git, and Linux Kernel development.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools such as Serial Console, JTAG, Wireshark, and network analyzers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with networking chipsets such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, Realtek, Broadcom, or Marvell.
• Exposure to networking, Wi-Fi, Router, Switch, LTE/5G CPE, GPON, or telecom products.
• Knowledge of TR-069, SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, Open vSwitch, and SDN technologies.
• Experience in carrier-grade networking product development.
