About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Engineer to join our TEF team at RBIC-MNR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of plant equipment and electrical systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Plant Maintenance & Operations

  • Manage and execute all plant TEF activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, motors, panels, and control systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
  • Perform repairs and replacement of faulty equipment, wiring, and fixtures to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, codes, and company regulations.

Technical Excellence

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute maintenance activities.
  • Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Apply root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why Analysis for major breakdowns and technical losses.
  • Drive improvements in key maintenance metrics, including MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
  • Support and implement machine improvement and reliability enhancement projects.
  • Possess working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate with technicians, engineers, and cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requirements.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to associates on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and breakdown analyses.
  • Monitor and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels of machinery spares and consumables.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting through SAP or relevant systems.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree BE in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, components, and maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of SAP and maintenance management systems.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Good time management and teamwork capabilities.
  • Understanding of safety standards and electrical regulations.
