Role Summary
Bharti Airtel is looking for an experienced Network TAC2 Engineer to provide advanced technical support for enterprise networking infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting complex network issues, configuring and hardening Cisco devices, and ensuring high availability across the network environment, working in a 24×7 shift-based support model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for network-related incidents escalated from TAC1, ensuring timely diagnosis and resolution.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Cisco routers and switches in production environments.
- Design and implement high-availability solutions using HSRP and other failover mechanisms to minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) for secure network access control.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize BGP routing for WAN/ISP connectivity and multi-site environments.
- Plan and execute Cisco IOS upgrades, including compatibility checks, rollback planning, and change management coordination.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical network incidents and provide permanent fixes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and troubleshooting runbooks.
- Collaborate with TAC1, NOC, and engineering teams to resolve escalations and improve network stability.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident response and resolution.
- Work in a 24×7 rotational shift environment, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per roster.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in network support/TAC roles, preferably in an ISP, telecom, or large enterprise environment.
- Cisco certifications preferred: CCNP (Routing & Switching / Enterprise), CCNA as minimum.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPSEC, Failover and general networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Everest/Zabbix/SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
